It is not the dare or truth game. It is the self confidence building, either by herself or with the parents support.

Cait was once a scary cat, like what Clar is now.

Over sometimes, perhaps age grows, her self confidence begin to build up. This is something The Ongies are so happy with, except for her food 'daring game'.


The dare


The Ongies went to a birthday party lately, children and parents are all over, but Cait does not seem to be afraid, nor did she try to hide away. Instead, she bring and show Clar around as an elder sister instinct.

She confidently went to a nail polish table booth and ask for fingernail polish.



When she is done, she queued up herself to another counter. Hubby does not know what she is queuing for until he realised it is for face painting.

A firm tone from hubby, asking if this is something she wanted to do it?

She nodded.

A min had passed, it is Cait's turn.

Comfortably sitting on chair, swinging both her legs front and back, she smiled happily to the artist. She was given a chance to do facial painting, which the artist claimed she is one of the best.

Showing the images she done before to both hubby and Cait; he asked whether she want to give a try?

Tilting her head, she spoke monotonous, twist her mouth to a corner and said:"okay", with a long dragging tone.










Since approval was given by her, the artist did not waste time and started doing bits by bits.

Incredibly, Cait did not move nor making weird noise which she might rejected it.

Wifey was surprised with her courage and gave a heavy nodding.


Beside the face painting art, she also shown her true happiness towards the mic - karaoke.

She had great time singing along with her friend, JF, whom the birthday boy.

It is time to bring her to some karaoke session, as wifey suggested. It should be a lot of fun.

She is also very cautious about her surrounding, about who she will mix and play together. It is better to stay vigilant and safe.

All Cait required is time and space, so that she can show her potential to everyone.  She is no longer the girl that who always wanted The Ongies to stay beside her all the times.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless.
