Water Play at PUB ABC

Excitedly, hubby glad that PUB ABC site is up for sometimes.



For those who do not know, ABC actually means Active, Beautiful and Clean. As mentioned on the site, this is their focus:

Launched in April 2006, the ABC Waters Programme is part of PUB’s larger strategic objective to bring people closer to water so that they can better appreciate and cherish this precious water resource.

The ABC Waters Masterplan has identified more than 100 projects for implementation in phases over the next 10 to 15 years since the launch of the programme. Under the first phase, over 20 projects will be implemented by 2012.

All kids love water play, they will go crazy the moment they saw it in front of them. It will be extremely tough to drag them away as if they were magnetised to it!

No fear. If you are near by Kallang River @ Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and Yishun - Lower Seletar Reservoir (Family Bay), do bring them there and have some fun!

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong).
