UPicnic outing

2 weeks back at Marina Barrage, Ufamily by NTUC had organised a wonderful event: Upicnic.

There are a lot of families and friends who registered themselves to this event. Apparently, this is the first time The Ongies decided to join the fun. As usual, the kids are excited, especially Cait.

Registration started at 4.30pm, and free car park lots had been filled up. The only parking area will be Area 2B. There will be a sign shown along the road; quite a long journey tho.

For those who remembered, this car park was right next to a long stretch of low building. If hubby can remember, it seem like a restaurant.

Cranky Cait wanted to be hug

There's another queue after you have registered yourself, which is the free goodies collection point. When the crew saw a family, they will suggest either the father or mother to go out of the queue and wait. But the Ongies decided not to, just in case either one wanted each other.

This is the first time hubby and wifey went to Marina Barrage with the kids; it is an exciting feeling. But Cait seem to be too anxious, because she simply do not want to walk on her own. And poor hubby had to carry her all the way.

Upon reaching the top, there are so many kites in the sky. Quickly, wifey spot a space for them!

Goodbye UPicnic, hope you be there again.

The night spent was great. Just when they were about to leave the area, they decided to get the balloon for Cait, since it is free. But the queue is very long, approximately 1hr of waiting time. Just when hubby wanted to give up waiting, Cait saw her classmate in front of them.

In the end, both of them, along with Clar, played like a crazy monkeys. Running around, using the Star war stick to 'fight'. Apparently, till their turn, they are the last 6th families! It is the end of the entire event, which initially they wanted to leave even earlier.

They headed to the Carpark B, which is totally pitch black, with no street light at all. Everyone have to walk with special care, especially the elderly or the kids. It is quite hard to tell where hubby parked the car, so the only source is to use the flashlight from the phone.

Wifey had problem looking in the dark; almost blind when looking at low light situation. After she had step forward after crossing the small drain, her whole foot fallen into a small hole! The entire hole fit in her foot, and that time she was carrying Clar!

Yes, Clar was fine because wifey, being a protective mom, held onto her tightly when she fall. Ensuring Clar did not fall backwards, but standing still.  Clar was crying non stop, and no one came over to help or asked what happened.

Wifey told hubby that she kinda twisted her ankle because she felt that bones around her ankle seem loosen. Yes, she gotten a bad sprain; left, right and top.

Quickly, they sent the kids home, then to NUH for X ray. Luckily there's no fracture or dislocation.

Hubby felt that the entire event was so nice, except the car park light. Shouldn't Ufamily ensure this as well? This is a family event tho.

Hubby is still waiting for them to get back to him, but invalid.
