Trip to NEX shopping mall

It was a nice Saturday weekend after the Presidential voting. The Ongies decided to head up to NEX, Serangoon for their brunch. Parents did not go there at all, hence the thought of bringing them as well.

There's a long queue outside the NEX carpark, so hubby decided to park it at the HDB area. But, since it is a holiday weekend, you are advised not to park at the white/ red lot.

So he decided to park at NEX. Alas, all cars entered the shopping mall faster than he thought! Within 10min, he got the lot.

They were having hard time where to eat initially. In the end, they decided to have it at Grandma's restaurant. Which had been recommended by lots of people too.

There's no regret at all!

Cait was doing fine in the restaurant, just that she had been a little too playful with the utensils. And, she insisted feeding her too! But the remaining time, will be playing of the food. They tried their best to control her because of her swift motion! Other than that, Clar is enjoying lying down on the sofa drinking her milk.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong).
