Off to Takashimaya

Time to roll out to Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City!
It is the mood for Chinese New Year, thus they drop by for window shopping.

Located at the arena, there's Chinese New Year fair going on selling all kinds of goodies! Yes, it is food.

Cait is overwhelming looking at it and kept saying:"Wah!"
It is noon time when they headed there and hubby was a little worried for the car park lot because there are way so many cars entering at the same time.

Surprisingly, it took them less than 5min to get the lot!
Why?

Cait always bring car park lot to them! It is a bit ironic but there's ever one time hubby and wifey waited for a lot at IMM for over an hour until they feel like giving up! Oh yea, Cait isn't there. She must be awake in order to the lot because when most of the time, they can only get the lot when she woke up from a long nap in car.

It is so hard to believe tho.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong). You can go and pray after registering yourself; pray to the main altar, then to the 60 Tai Sui before queuing up for the toaist priest to chant. It will be a long queue if you go early or noon.
