Happy Birthday, wifey! #3

Fret not, it isn't a 3 days Birthday celebration tho.

The Birthday celebration was held on the 5th Oct, a day after the actual day. Coincidentally, wifey's Chinese Birthday fallon the 5th, thus hubby decided to get the cake on that day.

Wifey wasn't feeling well on the actual day because of hot weather that result her feeling tired and weak.

She was feeling great on Tuesday and also, for Cait, she thought it is her birthday again. She seem so delighted and excited when there's a birthday cake in front her!

2 years ago, hubby still remember vividly that wifey was lying on the bed, vomiting non stop due to her first pregnancy.

Next year, there will be 2nd young one to celebrate the birthday! How exciting, right?

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong).
