Trip to Zoo

This is the first time Cait is heading up to Zoo last Sunday and of course, she is unaware of everything due to her age.
Hubby and wifey got to thanks Marie and Li Fang for the free passes to Zoo! Together, they also brought dad and mom as well.

When is the last time dad and mom brought hubby to Zoo? That seem donkey years ago!

So, who are the people involved last week?
The Ongies; Levene, Marie with Xander (also Ongies) and Jameson, Lifang with Jin Feng!

The meet up timing is at 0830am because they wanted to head up to Kids Zone first before exploring around the Zoo. Water is cleaner in the early morning as compared to noon time whereby there will be a lot of kids playing in the pool which result it to turn dirtier. Xander and Jin Feng enjoyed in the pool compared to Cait because she is still feeling a little feverish since her vaccination.

Cait have to get herself dry up as soon as it started raining. While the rest, continued when the rain is lighter before they decided to head for shower.

Without her cosy bed, she will not sleep at all and kept on fussing non stop. At least Xander and Jin Feng manged to take a quick nap after their pool session!
But due to mom's knee relapsed, everyone decided to head off earlier than expected! Well, at least they managed to go to Queensway Ikea for dinner!

It is a good exposure for Cait and the rest to visit Singapore Zoo. They will be back again for sure! There will be more coming up next soon!

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong). You can go and pray after registering yourself; pray to the main altar, then to the 60 Tai Sui before queuing up for the toaist priest to chant. It will be a long queue if you go early or noon.
