Trip to Navy Open House

After a long break from blog, the author finally have the time to pen down the story since 1 week ago.

Remember that hubby won 7 tickets to "Songs of the Sea" at Sentosa? Though they are not able to attend this event, at least there's a Genting trip up! It is not just hubby, wifey and Cait, but with 16 more family members!

At least it is still Family Bonding! Agree?

It is on one of the weekend that they went to Changi Naval Base for Navy Open House.
Though Cait is still young for these but it is the first time that they went to such Open House together!
Hubby is looking forward to Army Open House and such events in near future.

It is good to let the kids have wide knowledge on Singapore Defense Force.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong). You can go and pray after registering yourself; pray to the main altar, then to the 60 Tai Sui before queuing up for the toaist priest to chant. It will be a long queue if you go early or noon.
