Reunion Dinner

This coming Year of Tiger is the first time Cait will be celebrating with the family! It is also the first time Cait will start receiving ang pow during CNY period onwards!
Maybe in future, Cait saving will be richer than her parents! How amazing huh?

In the morning, hubby along with wifey and mom went to Queens St (Waterloo St) for praying and saw a lot of decor at the street, hence quickly get a shot of Cait photo!

Since morning till noon, Cait did not rest at all. The usual time for her nap is 9-10am. But yesterday, she only start sleeping at 1pm plus! She need to find her most comfortable position in order to sleep. It is quite hard initially until wifey decided to lie her flat on her thigh. Within seconds, Cait entered the dreams.

So tired till she can sleep like that huh? She is long gone in her dream tho... People surrounded wifey for chit chat session abt Cait.

It is also the first time Cait will be joining the family for reunion dinner! This time, there's no usual steamboat on the table with raw foods to cook and the delicious curry that mom always cook, but food been prepared by the chef, which is Ah Or restaurant at Bukit Merah.

Though mom want something for a change this year, hubby still felt that the reunion dinner atmosphere is weird because there's no steamboat at all.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong).
