Cait had her haircut today!

Wifey suppose to end her confinement yesterday, but she ended up bathing with herbs today again as been told by aunts that today will be the final day instead. But she have to continue her confinement food for another 12 days, as everyone kept saying it is 40 days. Wondering why some confinement agency require 28 days instead.

And also, Cait had her haircut today! She was scare initially but soon getting use to it. Cutting all the hairs symbolise 'clean' and a good start of life!

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless.
