Merry Christmas to everyone!

It is going to be a busy day with the family.

Cait had her present opened yesterday as she was excited for her new game - Monopoly Empire! (She chose this game herself and insisted that she want this Empire)

Clar will open her's tomorrow. (Seem to forogtten what is her present)

This is definitely a game that hubby also been wanted to play with the kids.

A simple board game will teach the kids how to use the money to buy and pay for things.


During the game play, Cait had the most earned and get emotional when she does not have any money left because she been buying billboard.

She also know how to make use grab action and exchanged for a bigger billboard when she threw the dice. They have no idea whether Cait really understand the game, but she is pretty smart on making use of every opportunity.

While she walked away from the game, hubby had to tell her that this is just a game and they must play it fair till the end.

As for Clar, she have the most naive mindset but is the 2nd most earned after hubby by the end of game session.

Since there's no party or any gathering, it is a good time to catch up with kids on the board games which he been wanted to do that so. (They were still young back then)

There will be more to come - like Scrabbler, snake and ladder etc... it is a good thing to get away from electronic devices and hook yourself to the games with interaction. Hoping that the kids will learn from this and share it with their friend in future.

Last but not least, Merry Christmas to everyone and a Happy New Year.

2014 is ending, there are a lot of up and down. 2015 will be a good year ahead for everyone.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless.
