Cait is back home

Image
Cait is not fully discharged yet, she is just taking home leave from hospital. If from morning till tomorrow, there's no sign of fever at every 4hrly, she can be discharge by doctor recommendation. She will have to take the antibiotic via spoon if her fever subside, if not, she may have to take it either by injection or put on drip. When she heard that she is going home, everyone mood lightened up. Her appetitie is very good as compared since on Monday night. She sing, dance, talk and debates... That is Caitlyne style. Nothing beats the word: Going Home. She feel into deep sleep when she was in car, and home. A place she felt secured. Even while she is in hospital recovering, there's not much of resting time after all. She have to take the neubuliser every 4 hours, noise from other beds too. Goodness, she is able to take in the neubuliser while half asleep, provided her ear is covered by the sound. Wifey is so tired taking care of Cait, from morning till night. So...

Cait in the hospital - 3rd day

Thanks all dear friends, family and relatives who are very concern on Cait recently. She is still having slight fever, and required to have clearance of 24hrs before she can discharge tomorrow . She was still having slight cold internally, and manage to sweat in the middle of the night, despite being in the air con room. Her appetite is getting better, though not a lot. The doctor mentioned that Cait is a lucky girl, she had porridge with salt to build up her body system despite being dehydrated. It will be worse on her kidney or liver if there's little salt. They had tested with all the result from her blood, phlegm and vomit. So far all negative, which is a good news. The Ongies are very blessed to have such a warmth hearted friends around and shown their love as well. Thank you so much. Updates As for the last few hours, Cait suddenly had her fever shoot up to 38.2 degree, but subside to 37.9 now. She was told to go for a cold shower to reduce the heat from her b...

Cait admitted to hospital

Just few hours ago, Cait was admitted to NUH due to high fever when it reached 40 degree. She was awarded for 2 days. But hubby was hoping she will recover soon and cleared by doctor in the morning later on. Loss of appetite, dehydrating and feeling uncomfortable. She had to put on drip as patches of red circle were seen on her arm and legs. Being very brave of her, she managed to let the doctor inject the needle. She did not cry, brave and strong girl. When it come to medicine, she was very cranky as usual. In an hr or less on drip, hubby noticed that the red circl patches were gone. Blood sample had been sent for lab test. It is thankfully that she did not suffer from dengue, just a virus - bronchitis. As told by the doctor, such virus cannot be treated, only time will helps. Let's hope Cait will get better and well soon. She is currently with wifey in NUH. Cait fallen asleep soon after the entire doctors had finished talking to hubby and wifey. Updates on...

Clar admitted to hospital as well

Image
Is it because of the Ong family line, most of the kids will be admitted to hospital due to bronchitis. This is what aunt had told both hubby and wifey when they signed up their insurance policy for the girls. On 22nd Jun, Cait was admitted to Mt A due to high fever and diarrhea . On 22nd, also on Saturday, Clar admitted to KKH due to her cough and bad diaper rash. Coincidentally, both of them were admitted in the early morning. As Cait is older, she can expressed by telling them her discomfort, but for Clar, she can only cry and screamed, a lot of patience is needed. Thanks goodness there are not a lot of patients around, so the queue is a lot faster. After the doc had examined Clar, they were told to let her go for an X-ray and puffing. This is to check whether it is pneumonia or bronchitis that caused her to cough non stop. The nurse at triage had measured Clar having low O2 at 94, which the moderated level should be 95 and above. During the X-ray, hubby was accompanying ...

A week of viral around the house

This is not a good week for all since last weekend. Saturday Wifey was down with flu, fever and cold; thus hubby had to alone battle against the kids. He lost terribly and became a bad mood monster because he simply find it so hard to press down Cait to sleep. In the end, she won by disturbing Clar nap and, for the straight 5 hrs hubby went on without a rest until night falls. Sunday It was evening time and hubby brought Cait out for a walk at Lot One. Instead of driving up, he decided to go via public with her - LRT. Cait had been a good girl to and fro Lot One and home. She did not make any nuisance noise in the LRT, but kept asking him some weird question/ or rather interrogating . Why never hold the bar with 2 hand?   Dad dad sit down. Go where? This is MRT. Other than that, she had been good. To make the trip worth, hubby brought her from top floor to basement area - he just want to want and enjoy. As for Cait, she love waiting by the machine - even hu...

KKH visit - Clar feverish

Ever since Cait gotten cough from school, the virus had been floating around the house which led to grand ma, hubby and wifey falling sick. Just when everyone was about to recover, Clar had been infected as well. She had been coughing and feeling feverish for 2 weeks, but it is purely on and off situation. But, yesterday, they decided to bring Clar to KKH despite visiting to the GP for 2 times. It was 9.30pm when they reached KKH and queue was very long. At the same time, they also saw met their friend! It was so coincidence throughout the procedure. They end up picking up the medicine at the same time too! After the initial check up by the nurse, they had been to told to go to room 11. As they heard some sound from Clar when she breathe, they decided to ask her to go for X-Ray and do the blood test. The entire procedure seem fast; partly because they have company there and they are in the priority queue due on Clar condition. It's a relieve to hear that there's nothi...

To the hospital

Today, Cait have to go to hospital because everyone is very worried about her; especially the diarrhea. Hence, hubby had to rush home and send her to KKH immediately, it is lucky that wifey is working from home, so there's help too. Cait seem pretty ok initially when hubby got home. Nevertheless, they still send her to KKH. All the wait took about less than 2hrs, partly they went out for small bites and also, it is daytime. As compared to the night, wait will be extremely long even though there are lesser patients. They made quite a boo-boo there; forgotten to pay the money at reception counter! It did not take too long to wait after they had settled the bill. A female doctor was checking at Cait and ask a lot of question about her. Knowing all the symptoms, she wanted Cait to lie down, so she can check her nose. To her surprise, there's swollen/infection at Cait nostril. That will make Cait feeling irritated and cough badly till she vomit. So, she had been given qu...

Shaving Right after Clar party, her hair will have to shave off in the morning on the next day. Cutting of her hair to ensure she look and feel clean. The sales It is Robinson sales, so wifey and hubby decided to head down to Centerpoint to attend the private function by them. They bough quite a lot of items as well, mostly for hubby and the kids. She feel so good in the yao lan . Visit to Parentcraft Today, Clar had to go for her hearing test again. Luckily she managed to finish the entire test despite crying non stop and the in charge have to re do over again. The infant before them took a long time as well, but due to their daughter did not finish the test on time, they had been asked to pacify her while Clar went in to do the test. After which, it will be their turn. In Parentcraft waiting for the hearing test for her left right, which she failed previously. Still waiting. Luckily she finished the test even though it took a total of 40min. Befo...

Cait stress

Cait car seat The result of her slow recovery is probably due to her stress over at mei mei , school and her new car seat. She felt unsecured  and not assured when they wanted to put her on car seat. Apparently, as like hubby, she will cough until she feel like vomiting, which she did on her new car seat. Trying hard to let her seat quietly is hard. By force doesn't do good, only pacifying with great care will help. Then, she will begin to understand the reason of sitting on the car seat which mom bought specially for her. Claryne birth cert Is it she want to let hubby and wifey save the $40 and pay for $16 instead? In the morning, due to Cait vomit, time had been delayed on Saturday upon going to TMC to do the birth cert. Fearing for long queue at ICA, they felt that TMC is the better choice, but things doesn't go smooth at all. They reached the area 5min late due to wrong route taken because of inconsiderate driver not willing to give way. There are 8 more...

Time to go home

It is the third day stay in TMC today and they are excited to go home with Claryne. The-Ongies would like to thanks for those who came down and also greeting via SMS and Facebook. The rest day had finally come to an end, and wifey is going to start her confinement once she is home; though started in TMC. Both hubby and wifey had to stay strong and be calm, partly due to handling of Cait as well.  She must be constantly reminded that she is now the elder sister of Claryne; thus sharing and caring is a must. It is going to be tough, but yet, it contain some happiness as well. Handling of two kids now is not going to be as simple as ABC. There are a lot of things to watch for, especially the elder one. She must feel assured once Claryne is home. A lot of attention from Cait is inevitable; thus allowing her to get involve like carrying of diapers and some other tiny stuff will be fantastic. It is now back to basis for everyone. Hubby mentioned that, till the moment when C...

At TMC

Cait is super whiny, is it because she know her sister is coming? Dr Adrian suggested wifey to get induce on Sunday but instead, they prefer Friday night due to many factors. During noon time, they have to get everything prepared and get admit by 5pm! This is seriously rushing without breathing at all; as if it is like running for marathon till the finishing line. After putting Cait with mom at work, they quickly admit to TMC. To little disappointment, there are no single bedded ward available, hence the choice will be 2 bedded. One reason of having single is due to having Cait around with them while mom is at work. At the same time, they also do not want Cait disturb the other patient if it is 2 bedded. Currently hubby is now at TMC with wifey and god bless, it had dilated to 5cm! A lot faster than previous time while trying to give birth to Cait. Nurses estimate either before or after midnight. More update later on. For short and fast update, do check out the twit...

Thanks all

Ongies would like to thanks everyone concern for Cait. It is really blessing that she been showered with lots of care and love. Even granny also called up to ask about Cait condition. She was fine on Saturday throughout until Sunday. She just rest on bed feeling so restless and doesn't respond when they called her. That really worried everyone. Hubby was so sad seeing her like this because she seldom behave that way at all. Her temperature kept hovering around from 38 - 39 degree throughout and hardly go down despite turning on the air con through the night. Hubby and mom kept on checking on her from 10pm till 4am until they decided to send her to KKH. Initially, hubby was relieved to hear that Cait fever subsided to 37 degree until mom woke him up that it went up to 39.2! Everyone packed up and left the house immediately. During noon time, they supposed to bring Cait to KKH but reckon that the medicine helps, instead of being restless in car, she felt so happy and treat...
