Time to warm up this blog again

 The inactive of this blog does not means that The Ongies is not posting anymore. It is because there are a lot of problem arise recently. So hubby decided to take a leave from the blogging here.

Hubby recently decided to get into trading, hence setting up his own blog and share his journey; be it win or loss, he hope to have some readers who just started up and learn the mistake he gone through.

Wifey had been busy preparing essential oil for the kids and adult when they fall sick. This is to prevent them from taking so many medications as they are made from chemical.

Hubby would like to share the knowledge of the oils he had been using, which he find it is very useful.

On the other hand for Cait, she had gone through the eye check up in school and the result is acceptable! Both eyes are 6/7.5, which is acceptable stage. It is important not to let her watch too much or TV, especially when it is night time when all the lights are off.

She can simply sit on the sofa and got herself glued to the television and not able to know what is going on around her. It is so hard to train her to get away from that addiction. If any parents do have some tricks or tips, hubby would love to hear from you.



For Clar, she have her terrible tantrums recently. The screaming and shouting can caused anyone to reach their boiling point and as if it is about to burst out from their head. She is very persistent and will have to take more than 30min to calm her down, including using of essential oil.

So far so good, it had been good with no complain. Everything seem to be under well control.


Hubby would like to take this opportunity to thanks everyone who are reading this blog. He will be actively posting more relevant information. This will goes out to all father bloggers.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong).
