Chinese New Year - Year of Water Snake
Happy Chinese New Year to everyone.
This is the year of snake; water snake. That explains why it had been raining recently, especially this CNY.
The kids may not know what the occasion is for, but they know they can eat and drink a lot of sinful food. But as a parent, you have to make sure they drink a lot of water to prevent them from falling sick. The culprits will always be the chocolate and sweets.
It is great to pray in the morning because of the crowd, and the windy atmosphere.

It was 7am when everyone reached Guan Yin Temple at Waterloo St. To their surprised, it is crowded as compared to last year. It seem like it will be worst next year on the first day of CNY.
The Ongies decided to get up early to pray since 2 years back. This is to prevent human traffic and the rain too. By late morning, traffic by the road will be quite bad, and you have to put in extra cautious on the kids too.
By 9am, everyone was home, bathed and ready to head out for their first visit!
It is going to be a very tiring 2 days event for the kids. They are going to miss their noon nap for sure.
On the first day, glad that they ended the day of visiting around 5pm, while day 2, they ended about 7pm! It is great to meet up with all the relatives, having short topics and catching up.
Luckily there are a lot of children around, so the girls can go around playing with their cousins. They were not shy like the first time. From playing to eating and drinking, the girls really enjoyed themselves, but it does not last long because it is only a 2 day events for them!
But they got to rest for 4 days in total from Saturday! That is really tiring.
So long as the kids enjoyed, hubby is willing to give them chocolate, provided they must drink a cup of plain water to drain off the concentrated chocolate and sweet in their body.
Parents have to ensure the kids have plenty of rest when they are home. They get little rest during traveling by car because the distance are quite short, and they will whine when they did not get enough sleep. So for Cait, as usual, she did not rest until night time.
Everyone get tired by end of the day, so with the kids behaving like a little monster, will get everyone angry.
Clar had a slight injured in between the thumb to her index.
Hubby brought both Cait and Clar down to void deck and play sparkles; he always played when he was young.
He had told he million times not to touch the sparkles as it might injured her hand. She nodded after ensuring she understand.
The first sparkles goes off and the kids are very happy, and yet very afraid.
Cait took her first courage and hold on the stick very well. She was told that if she feel pain on ther palm, she must drop the stick down immediately.
For Clar, hubby had to ensure she hold well, so he grabbed her hand onto the stick. But her right hand is not obedient. She wanted to touch the sparkles!
No matter how hard hubby had to slap her hand away, she still insisted grabbing onto it.
In the end, the stick is in between her thumb and index finger. At that moment, hubby can only pull the stick away because there's no way he can take it away from her. As a result, she kept crying non stop bitterly and thanks goodness wifey came down.
As for hubby and Cait, they continued to play until they used up the three boxes of green, blue and red respectively.
As a result, Clar had a big and bad blister for the whole night.
There's something they totally forgotten to do!
A Family Photo!!!
That is one thing hubby always forgotten about it!
Nevertheless, hubby will plan for a family photo soon.
