Great brunch at Red Star

After sending mom to work, they decided to indulge themselves at Red Star Restaurant - a long time restaurant been operating since hubby was very young.

This is the first time dad went with them and they all have their fill and enjoy the food of dim sum. Cait, whom was skeptical to the food initially, also gave a try on certain food! As for Clar, needless to say about her.

She was making amuse of herself by screaming so loud in the restaurant; luckily the entire place are pretty noisy and crowded.

Hubby love the hor fun at Red Star because that's one of the best he ever ate it before. But of course, certain restaurant does have such standard too.

From disliking of chicken feet, he now love them so much that he do not mind having plates after plates.

Cait is quite obedient these few days, except being mischievous at times.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong). You can go and pray after registering yourself; pray to the main altar, then to the 60 Tai Sui before queuing up for the toaist priest to chant. It will be a long queue if you go early or noon.
