Cait to praying to Great Grand Parent

It had been a while since Cait pray to great grandparents in temple. On Sunday, everyone head up to Toa Payoh ancestral hall for praying.

On Tuesday, it is the 15th day of 7th month Ghost Festival, but a lot of people prefer to head up during weekend instead. Although it is 11am plus, but there are still a lot of people crowding over the urn and ancestral tablet hall. This is the only time you will see lots of people moving everywhere in the temple, especially the urn area.

While waiting for hubby and dad to get things organise, mom decided to put Cait in the trolley! Cait is happy and excited!

Been months since Cait visit 'them'

A little of education.
For Chinese belief, during 7th month, all the spirit from netherworld will be released to take a month holiday on earth. Some of them will visit their relatives, friends and family members. As not to get disturbed by others, lots of people from home, shop and office burn lots of paper money for them to use.

Usually everyone will pray and burn a lot of items during 1st, 15th and last day of the month. And on the 15th, most people will head up to ancestral hall to pray and give offering to their ancestor. They will bring a lot of good food, drinks and especially the paper money for their ancestor. Ancestor will then get the 'items' later on.

The temple itself had removed the burning station, so everyone have to pack up the money in plastic bag and deposit at the holding area. The helper from the temple will help to burn them off.

Yes?

While parents told hubby to ask if they have finished the meal by throwing 2 wooden blocks, hubby suggested that Cait should do it! Hence, she will be represent everyone.
For the 2 wooden block, one side is curved while the other is flat. When holding it together, it look like the banana shape.
After throwing the wooden block, you will get the answer from them.
If both wooden block appear in alternate side, it mean OK and good.
If both curved shape face up, it means that they are happy.
If both flat shape face up, it means it is stable.

Cait know when to pray. Apparently, while Cait is the main temple hall, she began to pray non stop. She went to the kneeling cushion and kneel down as well! How diligent she is!
